Animal Assisted Therapy

Animal Assisted Therapy

Get the most from your consultation with Miffy and Baci, our friendly, relaxed therapy dogs.

Miffy, a 10 year old Spoodle, is often the first to greet you. Described as a ‘Hairy Mclary’ look alike, she’s a little less bouncy and a lot more relaxed. She’s kindness and comfort personified.

Miffy “breaks the ice” is something people often say.  She is know for making you feel more relaxed and comforted in the early stages of therapy. Baci has recently joined Miffy to offer the same type of comfort.  Named after the Baci hazelnut ice cream because she's the same colour, she's also just as sweet.  Baci or Miffy are present during all of Lisa’s consultations (unless they're unwell). However, it's up to the you whether they actively participate in the session. If they're not participating, they'll be doing what they do best. Chilling out and relaxing.

Children, youth, young adults and elderly seem to benefit the most from the animal assisted therapy.
